Well, folks, being married to a lawyer means a lot of things:

People like to tell me terrible lawyer jokes.

I know way more about obscure legal concepts than I ever wanted to.

I feel like I should read fine print (which can actually be quite helpful in winning contests!).

And I need to do a good job of disclosing things on my blog, per FTC guidelines.

So, here are my disclosures:

I am a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com.  This means that I earn a (very small) commission on items purchased through special links I post.

I sometimes receive compensation for posts, and I sometimes receive items for free in exchange for posts.  I will always disclose said agreements at the top of my posts.  I like to speak my mind, so I hope you will still trust my opinions, even when I receive compensation.

To be perfectly honest, this whole ordeal makes me quite uncomfortable.  But blogging costs money, so it only makes sense that my blog should make money, right?  If I bother to accept a sponsorship or post affiliate links, I hope you know that I really believe in the company or item.  Thanks for helping support the projects here at kenanhill.com!
