We started watching Parks & Rec for the first time We started watching Parks & Rec for the first time this summer to add a little bit of levity to our lives. Tonight we paired the series finale with a Ron Swanson-approved plate of breakfast proteins and waffles with a Leslie Knope-approved amount of whipped cream. Don’t tell Ron or Leslie that we also ate some vegetables.
I made a big batch of @butterbeready’s lemon rol I made a big batch of @butterbeready’s lemon rolls last weekend and put some of the unbaked rolls in the freezer, which we enjoyed again today. Future me is always happy when past me stocks the freezer with good stuff! (Google “butter be ready lemon rolls” to find the recipe—highly recommend!) 🌀🍋
Making new friends isn’t the easiest thing to do Making new friends isn’t the easiest thing to do these days, but somehow the stars aligned for me to meet @emiliedayanhill. We connected via @purebarrevahi, and then she reached out when she and her family moved to our neighborhood at the beginning of the pandemic. We bonded over becoming mothers in the past year, our love of food, our love of Paris (she was born in France!), and our shared last name. You can see why I like her from this #shelfie (Paris! Gardening! Food!). She’s also using her background in finance to share content that empowers women—especially when it comes to money—which I love on so many levels. It was an honor to make casual headshots for her recently... swipe to see how chic she is in her red dress! Anyway, I’m thankful for the little pockets of good, like new friends, that are still appearing in 2020. ✨
