Not sure what to make for Christmas morning breakfast or a holiday brunch? Here are a few of my favorite dishes:
If a one-pan breakfast is up your alley, then my “upside down” butternut + bacon quiche recipe that I created for Home Depot is great for a family meal during the holidays! You can prep all the ingredients (think pancetta, butternut, rosemary, and gruyere cheese!) ahead of time for a seamless meal on Christmas morning. I guess it’s technically a two pan meal because you bake the pie crust separately, but that means that everyone gets perfectly crispy pie crust cut-outs for their quiche–no soggy bottoms here! You can read more about my Christmas morning routine here and get the recipe here on Home Depot’s blog.
These brioche cinnamon rolls with brown butter icing take some time beforehand, but they’re pretty low maintenance on Christmas morning. Make the rolls and icing on Christmas Eve, let them rise overnight in the fridge, and bake them fresh the next morning! These are totally worth the effort.
Not much says home and holidays to me like my Gramma Tina’s banana bread. Make it a day or two ahead, then slice, toast, and slather it with cream cheese, nutella, or salted butter on Christmas morning!
If you want to up your mimosa game, try using fresh squeezed tangerine juice with champagne or grapefruit juice with sparkling rose. Or for something fancier, consider my “French 28” champagne cocktail with lavender and lemon.
Merry Christmas, y’all!
